Location

Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144. Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.

Job Summary

Responsible for managing and developing brand awareness through strategic advertising and social media for the assigned department. Creates print, online, and promotional marketing and educational materials to support recreation facilities, programs, and events. Serves as the department representative for outreach in coordination with department leadership. Assists in benchmarking, researching, and reporting the effectiveness of marketing efforts by the department. May provides oversight and management of social media and other marketing platforms through the use of assigned staff and/or student staff and content creation. Actively participates in marketing initiatives, providing support where needed.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: -
1. Works to strategize, plan, develop, and execute marketing and communications campaigns
2. Writes articles and designs layouts for electronic newsletters
3. Manages social media accounts to expand the department's presence
4. Manages social media platforms, including scheduling, creating content, monitoring conversations, and responding to comments
5. Reports analytics on communication responses and online interactions with students, faculty, staff, and other constituents
6. Collaborates and coordinates with department leaders on sales and/or marketing campaigns
7. May supervise assigned staff and/or student assistants
8. Maintains the brand and graphic standards, techniques, and methods of the department and University
9. Works with program areas within division and/or department to highlight priority areas through tabling and collaboration events on and off campus
10. Manages outreach opportunities which may include events such as orientations, homecoming, the week of welcome, involvement fairs, and open houses based on department needs
11. Handles administrative tasks assigned by department leadership

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education in related field

Other Required Qualifications
Current, valid, and unrestricted driver's license

Required Experience
Two (2) years relevant marketing or related experience

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Educational Qualifications
An advanced degree from an accredited institution of higher education in a related field

Preferred Experience
Experience in marketing, communications, or public relations in a university system preferred
Previous experience managing accounts
Experience with video editing and production
Experience with social media management and Adobe Suite products

Proposed Salary

The budgeted salary range is $47,000 to $55,000. Offers are based on relevant experience.

Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (i.e., Microsoft Office suite)

Strong customer service skills, email etiquette, and phone etiquette
